The Lotus Seed is a collective of certified yoga teachers whose mission is to bring yoga to the community through daily classes at the Lotus Seed Center, and also with partners throughout the city. We will come to you or you can visit us at 6 NE Tillamook St., Portland, Oregon 97212.
Public Classes by Donation:
As you know, yoga has risen in popularity throughout the United States over the past few decades. As price demands have increased in commercial property, so have the prices for yoga classes. The Lotus Seed sees the need for more access to the health education that yoga provides, which is why we offer affordable daily yoga classes to the public Monday-Friday at our center and also in various locations around town. Yoga Clubs in Schools:
Teachers from the Lotus Seed Collective have been conducting after school yoga clubs at public schools for over ten years. Currently in Portland, we host clubs at DaVinci Middle School, Grant High School and Peninsula Elementary School along with Portland Community College. Business Contracts:
Sometimes it is difficult for individuals to make it to the yoga studio after work in time for class. This is why The Lotus Seed will travel to your office for on-site classes around the city. An arrangement with each organization is or company that suits their individual needs. This is a great way for companies to show their appreciation for their employees. On-site classes are $50/hour for up to 10 students, and $75/hour for more than 10 students. Alternatively, we offer memberships for employees of companies or organizations who make donations to the Lotus Seed. Members enjoy unlimited classes at the Lotus Seed. This is another opportunity for an employer to show appreciation for their employees, encourage their wellness, and support a local non-profit organization. Download the registration form as a pdf.
Birthday Parties:
The Lotus Seed is available to host birthday parties for kids. Parties include 45-60 minutes of yoga and movement activities (depending on the age group), and the use of our kitchen and dining space for serving cake and refreshments. The cost is $125 for up to 10 kids for 2 hours. Cost for additional guests will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Contact info@lotusseed.org to develop the perfect theme for you upcoming party.
Wedding Packages:
The Lotus Seed is available to rent for weddings, up to 200 guests. The facility includes a non-denominational church sanctuary for the ceremony, adjacent fellowship hall with stage and kitchen for catering, dinner, a band/DJ, and dancing. Wedding packages include a rehearsal the evening prior to the ceremony event, and access to the space to set up before the ceremony. We include a private yoga class for the wedding party at a time before or after the wedding. The basic package charge is $1000. Contact info@lotusseed.org to discuss your wedding plans.
